Terms of Use

Last updated: October 2, 2026

What these terms cover

These terms apply to the WeatherRoam apps for iPhone and Android, to weatherroam.com, and to the WeatherRoam plugin for ChatGPT. Together they are "WeatherRoam" below. By using WeatherRoam you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

What WeatherRoam does

WeatherRoam shows weather forecasts, weather alerts and approximate driving times for places you choose, and can suggest nearby towns where the weekend forecast looks good. It needs no account.

Forecasts and drive times are estimates

Weather forecasts are predictions and are sometimes wrong. Drive times are approximate and do not account for traffic, road closures, weather on the road or ferry schedules. A place described as "looking good" is our reading of a forecast, not a promise about the weather.

Do not rely on WeatherRoam for decisions that affect safety. For severe weather, travel conditions and emergencies, check official sources such as your national weather service and local authorities before you travel.

Using WeatherRoam fairly

Please use WeatherRoam for your own personal planning. Do not use automated tools to collect its data in bulk, do not resell its results, do not try to disrupt it or get around its usage limits, and do not use it in a way that breaks the law. We may limit or block use that does any of these.

The ChatGPT plugin

The WeatherRoam plugin answers inside ChatGPT, a service run by OpenAI. Your use of ChatGPT is covered by OpenAI's own terms and privacy policy. ChatGPT may reword, shorten or add to what WeatherRoam returns, so the result card is the record of what WeatherRoam said. The plugin has daily usage limits and may be paused or withdrawn at any time.

To the fullest extent the law allows, WeatherRoam is not liable for losses that result from relying on its forecasts, drive times or suggestions, or from the service being unavailable.

Our privacy policy explains what data WeatherRoam uses and why.

We may change WeatherRoam or these terms. Changes to the terms will be posted on this page with a new date. Continuing to use WeatherRoam after a change means you accept the new terms.
