WeatherRoam
Is Weather on the Way on Android?
No. As of October 2, 2026, Weather on the Way is an Apple-only app. Its App Store listing covers iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Vision and CarPlay, its website links only to the App Store, and Google Play has no listing for it.
For Android road trips: WeatherRoam
WeatherRoam is a free road-trip weather app for Android, and for iPhone too, so everyone on the trip can use the same one. It has no ads, no account and nothing to buy.
- Plan every day of the trip. Put your stops in order, set a start date, and each stop shows the forecast for the day you will be there.
- Compare up to 20 places on one map. Each pin shows its forecast, the drive time and any severe-weather alert.
- Drive time for every leg. Tap a stop to open directions in your maps app.
- Weekend Pick. Say how far you will drive, from 1 to 6 hours, and it ranks the towns within reach by the weekend forecast.
- Share the trip. One link opens the same stops on a friend's phone, Android or iPhone.
What it does not do: WeatherRoam shows the forecast for each stop on the day you arrive. It does not time a forecast to every point along the road, and it has no radar. Its forecast runs four days.
If you need the forecast along the route itself
Weather on the Way's main feature is a forecast for each stretch of road at the time you will drive it. Two Android apps do that job.
Drive Weather
It shows the weather along a route by arrival time, with radar. Its Google Play listing is marked "Contains ads" and "In-app purchases". The free version plans two days ahead, and Pro extends that to seven.
Highway Weather
It shows forecasts for a trip at the time you will arrive at each point. Planning is free. Its Google Play listing is marked "Contains ads" and "In-app purchases", and the hands-free driving mode is a yearly subscription.
